Broadcom announced the Broadcom===VMware Tanzu Platform agent foundations, a new secure-by-default agentic runtime designed to accelerate the delivery of autonomous AI applications. This extends their trusted code-to-production simplicity to AI agents, enabling enterprise developers to move into scalable, governed production on Broadcom===VMware Cloud Foundation.

Broadcom has significantly expanded its strategic partnership with Meta Platforms, securing a multi-year, multi-generation deal to co-develop AI accelerator chips and provide networking solutions. This partnership reinforces Broadcom's leadership in AI networking and custom accelerator platforms, leading to a positive market reaction with its shares rising.

Broadcom is carving out a niche in the AI chip market by partnering with AI hyperscalers to design custom AI chips. Its AI semiconductor division is experiencing rapid growth, with expectations of over $100 billion in AI chip revenue by the end of 2027.
