Archbishop Welby Praises Kaduna Peace Model

Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, visited Nigeria===Kaduna State and commended Governor Uba Sani's administration for its significant progress in achieving peace, unity, and stability. Welby noted a clear departure from the ethno-religious tensions that characterized the state during his previous visit in 2002. Governor Uba Sani, in turn, explained the 'Kaduna Peace Model,' an approach based on dialogue, inclusion, equity, and fairness, which he attributes to the absence of ethno-religious conflict over the past two and a half years. The visit, which occurred on the sidelines of Welby's engagement as a guest speaker at Ahmadu Bello University, served to acknowledge the government's efforts and encourage the sustenance of reconciliation and social cohesion.
