Shell plc===Shell Nigeria Limited (SNEPCo) has successfully completed the turnaround maintenance on its Bonga floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel, leading to the resumption of production at the Bonga deepwater field on March 6, 2026. The project was finished 11 days ahead of schedule and without any safety incidents. Ron Adams, Managing Director of SNEPCo, emphasized that this achievement secures the long-term integrity of the Bonga FPSO and positions the company for the Bonga North project. The maintenance involved over 1,000 personnel offshore, with more than 95% being Nigerians, demonstrating local expertise. Fifty-five companies participated, with 43 being wholly Nigerian firms. Key stakeholders like the NNPC Upstream Investment Management Services, the Nigeria===Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, and the Nigeria===Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board were acknowledged for their support.
