Bystronic announced the completion of its acquisition of the Tools for Materials Processing business unit from the US company Coherence This strategic move allows Bystronic to expand into new attractive growth markets such as medical technology, semiconductors, and general manufacturing. The acquisition also includes the rights to the well-known Rofin brand, which will be revived and integrated into a newly created 'Bystronic Rofin' business unit. This new unit, with approximately 400 employees and annual sales of around USD 100 million, will offer versatile laser technologies for processing a wide range of materials, opening up new opportunities in research and development.
