The launch of Delska's advanced data center in Latvia, supported by the President, signals a positive outlook for the technology and data center sectors in the Baltic region. This development is expected to attract international customers and enhance Latvia's digital competitiveness, potentially boosting related industries and investment.
The President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, visited Delska's newly commissioned 10 MW data center in Latvia===Riga, ahead of its official launch. Delska CEO Andris Gailitis and CTO Rihards Kaletovs presented the facility, emphasizing its role in supporting artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads, as well as European digital sovereignty. The data center, developed with an investment exceeding 30 million euros, is one of the most advanced and sustainable in the Baltics, powered entirely by renewable energy. It is designed for long-term growth, with secured grid power and the ability to expand up to 30 MW. The facility is 451 Group Tier III Design certified and is scheduled for Tier III Facility Certification in March, with an official opening event on April 8.
