Petronas===Petronas LNG (PLL), a subsidiary of Petronas, has signed a 20-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with QatarEnergy. Under this agreement, PLL will offtake up to two million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of LNG from QatarEnergy, starting in 2028. This marks the first long-term LNG supply deal between the two companies and is crucial for reinforcing Malaysia's energy supply security, ensuring stable and reliable LNG availability to meet growing demand. The agreement was signed in Doha by Tengku Muhammad Taufik, President and Group CEO of Petronas, and Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs and CEO of QatarEnergy. This collaboration enhances Petronas's portfolio resilience and supports Malaysia's economic development and energy transition goals, reflecting a shared commitment to deepen cooperation across the LNG value chain.
