Plug Power fills Hynetwork Services's Rotterdam hydrogen pipeline

Plug Power Inc. has completed the first hydrogen fill of Gasunie===Hynetwork Services's 32-kilometer hydrogen pipeline in Rotterdam, Netherlands. This project involved supplying 32 tons of RFNBO-certified renewable green hydrogen and delivering custom unloading infrastructure. Gasunie===Hynetwork Services, a subsidiary of Gasunie, is responsible for implementing the hydrogen network in the Netherlands, with the Rotterdam segment connecting port and industrial demand centers. This milestone is a major step in the roll-out of the Dutch and broader European hydrogen network, aiming to create a pan-European hydrogen transport system. The initiative advances industrial decarbonization, strengthens energy security, and enables large-scale clean hydrogen transport across Europe. Plug Power Inc. was awarded the public tender for this project and previously demonstrated its capabilities with the H2CAST project in Germany, a joint initiative led by Gasunie and STORAG E-T-Z-E-L.
