Bitwise Asset Management Acquires Chorus One

The acquisition of Chorus One by Bitwise Asset Management is expected to positively impact the crypto asset management market by expanding institutional staking services. This move positions Bitwise Asset Management to capitalize on the rising demand for yield-generating crypto strategies, especially after the approval of spot crypto ETFs.
Bitwise Asset Management, a global crypto asset manager with over $15 billion in client assets, announced the acquisition of Chorus One, an institutional staking provider with over $2.2 billion in staked assets. Chorus One will be integrated into Bitwise Onchain Solutions (BOS), Bitwise's staking division, which already supports several billion dollars in staked crypto assets. This acquisition will expand BOS's staking capabilities to over 30 proof-of-stake networks, including Solana, Avalanche, Sui, NEAR (blockchain platform), Aptos, California, Tezos, and TON (blockchain), and will add 60 experienced technology professionals to the team. Hunter Horsley, CEO of Bitwise Asset Management, highlighted staking as a significant growth area for clients. Brian Crain, CEO and Co-founder of Chorus One, will transition to an advisory role. Stifel Financial===Keefe, Bruyette & Woods served as the exclusive financial advisor to Chorus One. This deal enhances Bitwise Asset Management's position in the digital asset space, growing its workforce to nearly 200 employees worldwide.
