Swan Defence Secures Oman Training Ship Order

Swan Defence and Heavy Industries (SDHI) has secured a significant defense export order from the Government of Oman to supply a state-of-the-art training ship for the Oman===Royal Navy of Oman. The vessel, measuring 104.25 meters in length and displacing up to 3,500 tonnes, is expected to be delivered within 18 months. It will feature modern classrooms, training offices, accommodation for up to 70 officer cadets, an auditorium, advanced navigation and communication systems, and helicopter operation capabilities. This contract marks a crucial step in India's shipbuilding export segment, reinforcing its indigenous defense manufacturing capabilities and global maritime standing. Rear Admiral V.K. Saxena, CEO of SDHI, emphasized the company's technical expertise and adherence to global standards. The order aligns with India's broader maritime vision and Amrit Kaal Vision, aiming to establish the country as a prominent exporter of indigenously built vessels. The event also underscores deepening maritime engagement and diplomatic relations between India and Oman.
