India's Anti-Terror Operation in Kishtwar Against Jaish-e-Mohammed

Security forces in India===Jammu and Kashmir, including the India===Indian Army, India===Central Reserve Police Force, and India===Jammu and Kashmir Police, are conducting an intensified anti-terror operation in the snowbound Chatroo belt of India===Kishtwar district. The operation aims to track down and neutralize a group of three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists. Since January 18, there have been multiple encounters, resulting in the death of a paratrooper and injuries to seven soldiers, though the terrorists have repeatedly evaded capture. Mobile internet services have been temporarily suspended in a six-kilometer radius around Singhpora, Chingam, and Chatroo to prevent misuse by anti-national elements. Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma visited Kishtwar to review the counter-terrorism grid. A separate search operation is also underway in the Surankote area of India===Poonch district for suspected individuals.
