SKF has completed the divestment of its precision elastomeric device (PED) operation in Elgin, Illinois, USA, to Carco PRP Group for MUSD 75. This strategic move is part of SKF's plan to exit non-core business lines and concentrate on its core aerospace areas, specifically aeroengine and aerostructure bearing offerings. The divestment is expected to result in a capital gain of approximately BSEK 0.4 for SKF in Q1. Hans Landin, President of Specialized Industrial Solutions at SKF, emphasized that this divestment concludes the strategic review for their aerospace business, allowing for a full focus on innovation and profitable growth in the remaining core aerospace business.
