Troops of the Nigeria===Nigerian Army's 4 Brigade, in collaboration with the Nigeria===Nigerian Air Force, Nigeria===Nigeria Police Force, and Nigeria===Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, conducted 'Operation IGBO DANU 1' on February 4, 2026, in Edo North Senatorial District, Nigeria. The operation targeted kidnappers' hideouts in Osara, Auchi, Okpella communities, and Aviele Forest. The security forces successfully dismantled criminal operations, arrested 13 suspected kidnappers and drug peddlers, and recovered various items including firearms, live cartridges, locally made pistols, a POS machine, cutlasses, mobile phones, a digital camera, codeine syrup, cannabis sativa, tramadol, ice, and ₦87,550 cash. The arrested suspects and recovered exhibits have been handed over to the Nigeria===Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and prosecution.
