This initiative is positive for Maruti Suzuki's brand image and its commitment to corporate social responsibility, potentially leading to increased consumer trust. For India===Andhra Pradesh, it signifies an advancement in public services and road safety, which can attract investment and improve quality of life.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Transport Department, Government of India===Andhra Pradesh, to establish and maintain four Automated Driving Test Tracks (ADTTs) in Eluru, Ongole, Vizianagaram, and Anakapalli. This CSR initiative aims to enhance road safety by implementing a technology-driven, standardized, and objective driving license testing process with zero human intervention. The ADTTs will utilize high-definition cameras, RFID sensors, real-time analytics, and an integrated IT system to ensure that only skilled drivers receive licenses, aligning with the Central Motor Vehicle Rules. Maruti Suzuki will automate and maintain these tracks for three years, while India===Andhra Pradesh will provide the necessary infrastructure. This collaboration is expected to bring greater uniformity and transparency to the licensing process, benefiting applicants for two-wheeler, light motor vehicle, and heavy motor vehicle licenses.
