Mohan Bhagwat Continues as RSS Chief

Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has announced that he will continue in his role despite turning 75, as requested by the organization. He stated that he would step down if directed by the RSS but would never retire from work. Bhagwat clarified that the RSS chief is appointed by regional and divisional heads, not through elections, and must always be a Hindu, irrespective of caste. He emphasized the RSS's focus on inculcating values, finding solutions to problems, and working geographically to reach all communities, rather than engaging in excessive campaigning or targeting specific groups. He also addressed the role of English within the RSS, stating it would not be the primary medium of communication but acknowledged its use when necessary, particularly with the Indian diaspora and in southern states where Hindi is not understood.
