The Nigeria===National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has conducted a series of nationwide operations, leading to significant drug seizures and arrests. A key arrest involved Nwabueze Nicholas Izueke, a 62-year-old Lagos-based businessman, apprehended at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport attempting to smuggle 1.589 kilograms of cocaine to China via Ethiopian Airlines. He claimed to be funding a house construction. Other notable arrests include Ebube Okeke, Evans Ugwu, Mohammed Eze Arinze, and Friday Michael for methamphetamine smuggling; Yusuf Abubakar for transporting methamphetamine in yogurt packs; Shuaibu Abdulrahman with skunk; Adeniyi Adeola with pentazocine and tramadol; and drug kingpin Jimoh Nurudeen and accomplice Ogundipe Yusuf for operating a Colorado production facility. A couple, Izuchukwu Azubuike and Ifunaya Mmadueke, were arrested with skunk, and Eze Nodebechi Austin and Adekunle Oluwatosin Olajide were apprehended with cocaine and cannabis variants. Emeka Okeke was also arrested with various drugs. Nigeria===National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Chairman Mohammed Buba Marwa commended the officers and emphasized continued efforts in drug supply and demand reduction, alongside ongoing War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) sensitization campaigns across Nigeria.
