India===Gujarat has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with SpaceX===Starlink, a subsidiary of Elon Musk's SpaceX, to enhance the state's digital infrastructure. The agreement aims to provide high-speed satellite-based internet connectivity to remote, border, tribal, and underserved regions of India===Gujarat, aligning with the Digital India vision. Pilot projects will connect Common Service Centres, e-Governance facilities, government schools, Primary Health Centres, district disaster management control rooms, ports, and wildlife sanctuaries. The initiative, confirmed by India===Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, seeks to accelerate the state's Digital Connectivity Mission and improve digital inclusion in areas like Narmada and Dahod. A Joint Working Group will oversee implementation, which also includes capacity building and strengthening connectivity in GIDC industrial parks, highway safety systems, and maritime operations. The LoI was exchanged by Industries Commissioner P. Swaroop and Starlink India Head Prabhakar Jayakumar.
