XPeng, a leading intelligent electric vehicle manufacturer, has launched a new start-and-stop charging payment functionality on its XPeng APP in China — Hong Kong, China. This service is powered by Antom, a payment and digitization services provider under Ant International, marking Antom as XPeng's first global payment partner for its charging business. The integration allows XPeng users in China — Hong Kong to seamlessly pay for EV charging using Ant Group — Alipay, with credit cards and other payment options to be added soon. The partnership, which began in the second half of 2025, will expand to Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia in 2026, enabling local payment methods like DANA, Touch n Go eWallet, and TrueMoney. This collaboration aims to address the challenges of fragmented payment channels in the global EV charging network, providing a unified solution that supports over 300 payment methods across more than 200 markets.
