Benue Governor Swears in High Court Judge

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Nigeria===Benue State swore in Mrs. Franca Yuwa as a Judge of the Nigeria===Benue State High Court. During the ceremony, Governor Alia reiterated his administration's commitment to judicial independence, integrity, and accountability, stating that the judiciary has regained its autonomy and dignity under his leadership. He emphasized that his government has drawn a clear line between the executive and judicial arms, ensuring courts are not intimidated or used for political convenience. The Governor highlighted improvements in conditions of service, investments in court infrastructure, and consistent respect for judicial autonomy. He charged Justice Yuwa to uphold the highest standards of judicial conduct, warning against undue influence and reminding her of the immense responsibility of judicial authority. Governor Alia also noted that more judges have been appointed to the High Bench under his administration to reduce case congestion and accelerate justice delivery.
