Ebonyi State Ultimatum to Amasiri Community

The Nigeria===Ebonyi State government has issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the Nigeria===Amasiri community to produce the heads of four victims and return four abducted persons following recent violent attacks on Nigeria===Okporojo Oso Edda village. The attacks are linked to a protracted land dispute between Nigeria===Amasiri and Nigeria===Okporojo Oso Edda. Governor Francis Nwifuru announced the directive after an expanded State Security Council meeting, which included heads of security agencies like the Nigeria===Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria===State Security Service (Nigeria), and Nigeria===Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, as well as traditional rulers and community stakeholders. Investigations confirmed four deaths, with three victims beheaded and one found in a shallow grave, and four abductions. The government warned of stricter sanctions if Nigeria===Amasiri fails to comply. Community representatives, including Bishop Kenneth Oko Daniels for Nigeria===Amasiri and Chief George Ukpai for the Nigeria===Edda Clan, have pledged cooperation to restore peace.
