Vice President Kashim Shettima, represented by Ibrahim Hadejia, stated that the initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu's economic priorities of job creation and youth empowerment. The hackathon aims to transform Nigeria from a tech consumer to a global exporter of digital solutions, focusing on emerging fields like AI, 5G, cloud computing, and IoT. The program will shortlist 50 high-potential teams for intensive technical guidance, with 10 finalists advancing to incubation and acceleration. Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, and Ericsson Nigeria Country Manager, Peter Olusoji Ogundele, both emphasized the commitment to Nigeria's digital growth. Development partners, including the European Union and Sweden, also expressed their support for the program, highlighting its importance for inclusive growth and international collaboration.
