AECOM, a global infrastructure leader, and the School of Energy and Environment at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to form a strategic partnership. This collaboration aims to accelerate Hong Kong's sustainability and climate resilience ambitions by integrating academic research with industry expertise. Key initiatives include joint research projects in sustainability, climate adaptation, and environmental innovations, with the potential exploration of a dedicated AECOM-SEE joint laboratory. The partnership will also involve knowledge exchange, solution development, capacity building programs, student internships, and joint academic supervision. Following the MoU signing, AECOM and CityUHK SEE co-hosted a Climate Change Symposium, facilitating dialogue among academia, industry, and government on coastal resilience, sustainable water management, and climate risk disclosure, all aimed at addressing Hong Kong's specific environmental challenges.
