National Payments Corporation of India===National Payments Corporation of India (NIPL), the international arm of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), has signed an agreement with Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet) to enable QR-based merchant payments between India and Malaysia. This initiative will allow Indian travellers to use their Unified Payments Interface (UPI) apps for payments at Payments Network Malaysia acceptance points in Malaysia in the first phase. Subsequently, Malaysians visiting India will be able to use their DuitNow apps to scan UPI QR codes for merchant payments. This collaboration aims to expand the global footprint of UPI, offering a familiar, secure, and convenient payment experience for travellers and strengthening digital and economic connectivity between the two nations.
