The launch of Safran's new landing gear factory in Morocco is expected to significantly boost Morocco's aerospace industry, attracting further foreign investment and enhancing its position in global value chains. This development is positive for Safran's production capabilities and the broader aerospace market, particularly for the Airbus A320 family.
King Muhammad VI presided over the launch ceremony of a new Safran===Safran Landing Systems factory in Nouaceur, Morocco. This project, a major investment by Safran exceeding 3 billion dirhams (280 million euros), aims to establish one of the world's largest landing gear production centers. The factory will feature an integrated industrial chain including precision manufacturing, high-tech assembly, testing, certification, and advanced maintenance services. This initiative reinforces Morocco's position in the global aerospace industry, transitioning it into an integrated technological development and production hub. The plant is expected to create 500 jobs and will be powered entirely by carbon-free energy, with operations commencing in 2029 to support the ramp-up of the Airbus A320 family production.
