TETFund Inaugurates Advisory Committee for Laboratories

The Nigeria===Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has inaugurated a seven-man Advisory Committee to oversee the establishment and effective utilization of multipurpose laboratories in tertiary institutions across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones. Led by Chris Maiyaki, the committee is tasked with providing strategic guidance on design, equipment specifications, deployment, and sustainable management of these laboratories within one month. Sonny Echono, the Executive Secretary of TETFund, highlighted that this initiative is a cornerstone of the current administration's legacy, aiming to cultivate a robust research culture and infrastructure. The goal is to transform Nigeria into a productive and globally competitive nation, moving away from a consumption-based economy. The laboratories will feature alternative power supplies to ensure continuous research activities, addressing current challenges faced by researchers.
