This could drive growth for both Vallourec and Baker Hughes, as well as the broader energy and technology industries.
Vallourec, a leader in tubular solutions, and Baker Hughes, an energy technology company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on February 17, 2026. This collaboration aims to advance hydrogen storage solutions for the green hydrogen market, focusing on integrating Vallourec's Delphy storage solution with Baker Hughes' compression solutions. The partnership seeks to optimize compression-storage configurations, determine efficient operating pressures, and reduce total cost of ownership for customers in the industrial green hydrogen value chain, including green ammonia, sustainable fuels, green steel manufacturing, and the clean power sector. Vallourec's Delphy solution, capable of storing up to 100 tons of green hydrogen gas, has been certified by Bureau Veritas and DNV. Philippe Guillemot, CEO of Vallourec, emphasized the complementary capabilities and the commitment to industry decarbonization.
