At the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, NASSCOM AI Head Ankit Bose stated that the global development of AI presents significant opportunities for Indian companies, leading to job transformations rather than job losses. He highlighted India's strength in deploying AI solutions globally and the ongoing efforts by NASSCOM and the Indian government to train 1.5 lakh AI-based developers and develop AI-focused curricula for colleges. Raju Vegesna, Chairman and MD of Sify Technologies, emphasized the long-term journey of AI adoption, stressing the need for substantial investments in GPUs and data centers, particularly regarding power supply in India. He also noted that only a few firms in the United States and China are currently making such large-scale investments, while India offers advantages in scale, cost-effective manpower, and sustainability.
