Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan visited Vienna for a bilateral meeting with Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker of Austria. The two nations agreed to strengthen their relationship across diverse fields including economic cooperation, trade, investment, tourism, education, IT, healthcare, and human resource development. They committed to finalizing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in these areas and expanding government-to-government, government-to-business, and business-to-business engagements. A forum of CEOs from leading Austrian and Pakistani companies was co-chaired to boost commercial ties. Shehbaz Sharif also invited Austrian businesses to the upcoming EU-Pakistan Business Forum in Islamabad. Discussions also covered regional and global developments, reaffirming the central role of the United Nations. Pakistan also committed to collaborating with European partners to curb illegal immigration and provide skilled labor.
