Nestlé is in advanced discussions to sell its remaining ice cream businesses in Asia, Canada, and parts of Latin America to Froneri, a joint venture in which Nestlé holds a 50 percent stake with PAI Partners. This move is part of CEO Philipp Navratil's strategy to simplify Nestlé's portfolio and focus on key divisions like coffee, pet care, nutrition, and food & snacks. The announcement coincided with Nestlé reporting better-than-expected fourth-quarter sales growth, with organic sales up four percent. The company also plans to review its vitamin and supplement brands for potential sale and deconsolidate its water business from 2027. Despite a recent infant formula recall, Navratil expects no long-term reputational damage. Froneri was valued at approximately 15 billion euros last year following investments from Goldman Sachs and the United Arab Emirates===Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
