The five-year program, which includes basic pilot training, aerospace, electrical and electronic, mechatronics, software, and systems engineering, aims to develop human capital and empower youth. An initial cheque of N2.5 billion was presented to Isaac Balami University of Aeronautics and Management, with the total package valued at N12.9 billion. The 54 beneficiaries were selected from over 3,000 applicants through a rigorous process, ensuring equitable representation from all 27 Local Government Areas of Nigeria===Borno State. Each student will also receive N500,000 for resumption logistics. Isaac Balami, the university's founder, also offered additional scholarships to 54 other students and expressed confidence that these scholars would contribute to building the first made-in-Nigeria aircraft.
