Arunachal Pradesh-Assam First Border Pillar Installed

The first official border pillar between India===Arunachal Pradesh and India===Assam was successfully installed at Seijosa in Pakke Kessang district, marking a significant step towards resolving the long-standing inter-state boundary dispute. This action is a direct outcome of the Namsai Declaration, signed in July 2022, which laid the framework for a peaceful resolution. The installation was closely monitored by officials from both states, including Deputy Commissioners, senior police officers, and community leaders. Chief Ministers Pema Khandu of India===Arunachal Pradesh and Himanta Biswa Sarma of India===Assam, along with other ministers like Biyuram Wahge, Mama Natung, and Pijush Hazarika, have been credited for their leadership and commitment to the process. The Seijosa pillar is intended to serve as a blueprint for further demarcation work, promoting peaceful coexistence, administrative clarity, and long-term stability for communities residing along the border.
