GeoPura Secures Largest Green Hydrogen Contract for Lower Thames Crossing

GeoPura has secured the largest green hydrogen supply contract for a British construction project, the United Kingdom===Lower Thames Crossing. This deal involves supplying 2,500 tonnes of green hydrogen, replacing over 12 million litres of diesel and saving an estimated 30,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions. The United Kingdom===Lower Thames Crossing aims to be the first major British infrastructure project to achieve carbon-neutral construction. This initiative aligns with the United Kingdom's government plans to enhance energy security and reduce reliance on imported fuels, with projections of creating over 400,000 jobs and adding over £7 billion to the British economy by 2030. GeoPura, founded in 2019, produces green hydrogen via electrolysis powered by locally sourced renewable electricity. The project has already deployed six GeoPura hydrogen-powered generators and a JCB hydrogen-fuelled digger, showcasing the practical application of green hydrogen in construction.
