On the fourth anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution titled 'Support for Lasting Peace in Ukraine'. The resolution called for an immediate, full, and unconditional ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, and reaffirmed Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. It received 107 votes in favor, 12 against, and 51 abstentions. India, along with Bahrain, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, South Africa, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates, and the United States, abstained from the vote.
