The Nigeria===Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Benin Region, conducted a clearance exercise from February 18-20, 2026, to remove structures encroaching on the new Ihovbor-Ajaokuta 330kV Transmission Line in Ihovbor Community, Nigeria===Edo State. This operation aimed to reclaim TCN's Right of Way along the transmission corridor. Prior to the exercise, TCN organized sensitization programs, issued a three-month notice, and provided compensation to affected persons. The clearance was carried out by a team from TCN's Corporate Headquarters in Abuja, in collaboration with the Property Department, and with prior notification to traditional rulers, youth leaders, and other stakeholders.
