Chidozie Nwangwu, a native doctor known as Akwa Okuko, was sentenced to two years in prison by an Nigeria===Anambra State High Court. He was arrested in February 2025 by the Nigeria===Agunechemba Security Outfit on allegations of aiding and abetting kidnapping and money rituals. Justice Jude Obiorah delivered the judgment after Nwangwu pleaded guilty and entered a plea bargain with the Nigeria===Anambra State government. The conviction was based on the Criminal Code and the Anambra Homeland Law. Nwangwu will serve the remaining 11 months of his sentence at the Awka Correctional Centre, having already spent 13 months in detention.
