Secretary to the State Government, Deborah Aber, announced that N1.27 billion in donations has been received from four contributors: Senator Remi Tinubu (N1 billion), Nigeria===Nasarawa State Government (N150 million), United Bank for Africa (N100 million), and the Director-General of the Nigeria===State Security Service (Nigeria) (N25 million). These funds are allocated across various needs including cash transfers, food, shelter, water, security, agriculture, resettlement, health, peace and reconciliation, host communities, and education. The state, in collaboration with international partners like United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, is constructing 60 two-bedroom homes in Yelewata and has enrolled 5,883 IDPs in the Nigeria===Benue State Health Insurance Agency. This initiative aims to return displaced citizens to dignified housing near their ancestral homes, restoring normalcy to their lives.
