The successful trial by ZTE and Türk Telekom is expected to positively impact the telecommunications and technology markets by demonstrating advanced optical network capabilities. This innovation will likely drive further investment and development in ultra-broadband infrastructure, particularly in Turkey and Eurasia.
ZTE and Türk Telekom have jointly completed the world's first C+L (12 THz) full-band integrated 1.6Tbps live network trial in Istanbul. This trial significantly boosts system capacity, reduces spare part types, and enables ultra-high-speed 400GE/800GE service transmission. The solution supports seamless switching between C-band and L-band via a unified management system, leveraging existing fiber infrastructure for efficient utilization of the full optical spectrum. It also introduces an intelligent network management system with holographic optical solutions for full visibility, manageability, and controllability. This achievement lays a solid foundation for Turkey to develop ultra-broadband and intelligent all-optical networks, elevating the digital economy level of Turkey and Eurasia. Ebubekir Sahin, CEO of Türk Telekom, and Ling Zhi, Vice President of ZTE, both highlighted the significance of this groundbreaking trial for future network demands and digital transformation.
