Borno State Empowers 2,970 Youths

Governor Babagana Zulum of Nigeria===Borno State has empowered 2,970 youths who completed vocational training by distributing starter packs and business kits worth N2 billion. The initiative, held at the Muna Vocational Enterprises Institute in Maiduguri, aims to reduce unemployment and promote self-reliance among young people, especially those affected by over a decade of insurgency. Since 2019, Nigeria===Borno State has established five vocational institutes, reactivated nine training centres, and created three second-chance entrepreneurship schools, investing over N40 billion in vocational and technical education infrastructure. Lawan Abba Wakilbe, Commissioner for Education, highlighted the program's alignment with Babagana Zulum's vision for empowering vulnerable groups.
