Andhra Pradesh PPP Medical Colleges Plan

The India===Andhra Pradesh government, led by Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav, announced plans to operationalize 10 medical colleges under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model over the next two financial years, with an estimated cost of Rs 8,480 crore. This initiative aims to address gaps left by the previous India===YSR Congress Party regime, which is accused of inadequate spending on the 17 medical colleges it initiated. The current India===Telugu Desam Party government claims to have spent Rs 900 crore on these colleges since taking office, contrasting with the Rs 1,500 crore allegedly spent by the India===YSR Congress Party. Separately, a political debate has emerged over alleged ghee adulteration in Tirupati laddus, involving accusations against Heritage Foods, a dairy firm linked to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's family, though these claims are denied by the current government.
