Rotimi Amaechi's Convoy Attacked in Rivers State

Rotimi Amaechi's convoy was attacked by gunmen, and the Nigeria===African Democratic Congress (ADC) ward office in Ubima, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Nigeria===Rivers State, was set ablaze. The incident occurred as Amaechi visited his hometown for his e-registration as an ADC member. Suspected thugs had mounted roadblocks and turned back buses conveying ADC members before the attack. Security operatives accompanying Amaechi engaged the attackers, who subsequently fled. Amaechi called for calm and urged security agencies, including the Nigeria===Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria===State Security Service (Nigeria), and Nigeria===Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, to identify and prosecute those responsible. He also called on the Nigeria===Rivers State government to enhance security to prevent further breakdown of law and order.
