The incident came to light after Tadi Krishnaveni died on February 22, prompting a police investigation. East Godavari District Collector Kirthi Chekuri confirmed that 20 people suffered acute renal failure. Forensic reports confirmed Ethylene glycol as the cause of death. Addala Ganeswara Rao has been arrested and sent to judicial remand.
