The proactive measures by the India===Odisha government, led by Anu Garg, to assure adequate fuel supply are likely to calm local market anxieties and prevent hoarding. However, broader concerns about commercial LPG supply, as highlighted by the Hotel & Restaurant Association of India===Odisha, could still impact the hospitality sector.
India===Odisha's Chief Secretary, Anu Garg, chaired a high-level meeting to review the availability of LPG, petrol, and diesel in the state amidst national concerns over fuel shortages. Senior officials from major oil marketing companies, including Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum, and Bharat Petroleum, confirmed sufficient stock and assured uninterrupted supply from refineries to retail outlets, educational institutions, and hospitals. Anu Garg advised the public not to panic or hoard fuel and directed oil companies to maintain a balanced supply chain and regularly disseminate information to create public awareness. Oil companies were also instructed to submit daily reports to the state's Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department. Separately, the Hotel & Restaurant Association of India===Odisha wrote to Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, seeking intervention regarding restrictions on commercial LPG supply to hotels and restaurants in some metropolitan cities.
