The release of PEGASUS on Infineon Technologies' platform is expected to accelerate the development of Software-Defined Vehicles, positively impacting the automotive and semiconductor markets. This collaboration provides OEMs and Tier 1s with advanced tools for creating consolidated, safety-compliant E/E platforms.
Perseus has released its flagship automotive hypervisor, PEGASUS, for Infineon Technologies' AURIX TC4Dx System-on-Chip (SoC) evaluation platform. This Type-1 (bare-metal) hypervisor, ISO 26262 ASIL-D-certified, is now available on TC4Dx evaluation hardware, with tooling and documentation accessible through Infineon Technologies' ecosystem channels. This integration provides OEMs and Tier 1s a production-oriented path to develop and test virtualized, mixed-criticality systems for next-generation Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs). The combined solution supports SDV, zonal, and safety-critical automotive architectures, enabling developers to prototype and advance consolidated, safety-compliant E/E platforms on production-grade technology. Sang-bum Suh, Founder of Perseus, and Thomas Schneid of Infineon Technologies, both highlighted the significance of this collaboration for advancing automotive software development.
