The acquisition of Creative Media by Granite is expected to positively impact the digital marketing and technology sectors, particularly in North America, by creating a stronger independent agency alternative. This deal signifies continued consolidation and expansion within the digital services market, potentially increasing competition for larger holding companies.
Granite, Ireland's largest independent digital agency, has agreed to acquire Creative Media, a performance marketing specialist with a strong client base in the United States and Canada. This marks Granite's ninth acquisition since 2020 and its most significant move into the North American market, aiming to achieve $40 million in revenue by 2027, with half of that projected from North America. The expansion is supported by $10 million in growth capital from BGF. As part of the deal, Creative Media's founder, Marcus Isherwood, will join Granite as Chief Revenue Officer. Additionally, Joy Marcus has been appointed Non-Executive Chair of Granite, bringing extensive experience to the board. The acquisition will increase Granite's workforce to over 200 specialists and strengthen its position as an independent alternative for US businesses seeking digital transformation and AI-powered solutions.
