The successful Series C funding round for Atlys, led by Susquehanna Asia Venture Capital and joined by MakeMyTrip, signals strong investor confidence in the travel technology sector. This investment is expected to drive innovation in visa processing through AI, potentially streamlining international travel and boosting related industries.
Atlys, a visa processing startup founded by Mohak Nahta in 2021, has successfully raised $36 million in a Series C funding round. The round was led by Susquehanna Asia Venture Capital, with participation from existing investors Elevation Capital, Long Journey Ventures, and Peak XV Partners. MakeMyTrip joined as a new investor. Atlys plans to utilize the fresh capital to expand into new international markets, strengthen its presence in existing regions like the UAE, US, UK, and Australia, and significantly invest in advancing its artificial intelligence capabilities across the visa lifecycle. The company, which processes over 700,000 visas annually, has seen an 11-fold growth since its previous funding round and aims to simplify visa processes and reduce barriers to global travel. This funding follows earlier rounds including a Series B in 2024 and investments from Andreessen Horowitz and South Park Commons.
