Rite Foods Limited, in partnership with RecyclePoints, has launched the 'Waste-Is-Naira' (W.I.N) initiative in Nigeria===Lagos State, Nigeria. This community-driven program aims to advance Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) by transforming plastic waste into a source of income for Nigerians. It is projected to recover over 750 tonnes of plastic waste annually, significantly reducing environmental pollution and stimulating grassroots economic activity. The program has garnered support from key regulatory and industry stakeholders, including the Nigeria===Lagos State Ministry of the Environment, Nigeria===Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Nigeria===Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), and the Food and Beverage Recycling Alliance (FBRA). The initiative builds on Rite Foods' previous sustainability efforts and aims to drive behavioral change at the community level, fostering a circular economy and creating jobs.
