India is actively engaging with global partners to ensure its energy security and the safety of Indian nationals in the Gulf region amidst ongoing tensions in West Asia. Diplomatic efforts, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the India===Ministry of External Affairs, have successfully secured the safe passage of two Indian LPG vessels through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. Additionally, the India===Ministry of Trade and Industry has approved a financial relief package of Rs 497 crores, named RELIEF (Resilience and Logistic Intervention of Export Facilitation), to support exporters facing logistical challenges due to the disruptions. An inter-ministerial group on supply chain resilience has also been operationalized to monitor the situation and coordinate facilitation measures.
