The expansion of E&R Engineering in the United States, particularly with the launch of its AIS solution and extended order visibility, is expected to positively impact the semiconductor equipment market. This move strengthens the Taiwan-U.S. semiconductor supply chain, potentially leading to increased competition and innovation.
E&R Engineering Corp., a semiconductor equipment supplier, announced the opening of its new office in Hillsboro, Portland, marking its second North American hub after United States===Phoenix, Arizona. This expansion aims to provide localized support within the U.S. semiconductor ecosystem and enhance service capacity for Tier-1 clients, with order visibility extending into 2027. The company also introduced its AIS (Automation Integration Service) solution to North America, which integrates multiple process modules into unified systems and has already secured orders. Kevin Chang, General Manager of E&R USA, emphasized the Portland office's role as a 'Semiconductor Partner Platform' to bridge Taiwanese industry peers and supply chain partners to the U.S. market. E&R Engineering is also undertaking a large-scale North American recruitment drive to support this expansion.
