National Payments Corporation of India===National Payments Corporation of India, the international arm of National Payments Corporation of India, has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding Unified Payments Interface (UPI) merchant acceptance in Sri Lanka. Through a partnership with LankaPay, Indian tourists can now make digital payments across Sri Lanka by scanning LankaQR codes using UPI-enabled apps, reducing the need for physical cash. This integration is available at major establishments including hospitality chains, retail outlets, and supermarkets. The Sri Lanka===Central Bank of Sri Lanka is also involved in aligning the expansion with domestic payment frameworks.
