Speakers, including Adamu Laka of the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) and Joseph Ochogwu of IPCR, emphasized that definitions and terminologies can either strengthen cohesion or deepen distrust. The Nigeria===Politics of Nigeria is also strengthening its security architecture and developing a framework for a phased transition to state policing over 60 months, with safeguards to prevent political misuse. President Bola Tinubu's administration is focused on rebuilding trust and strengthening unity through initiatives like the National Values Charter and campaigns by the Nigeria===National Orientation Agency. The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Richard Montgomery, pledged continued support for peace-building efforts.
