Eaton expands switchgear manufacturing in Bellevue, Nebraska

Eaton Corporation announced an investment of over $30 million to expand its U.S. manufacturing of medium-voltage switchgear. This expansion includes opening a new 370,000-square-foot production facility in United States===Bellevue, Nebraska, expected to begin operations in the first half of 2027. The facility will produce air-insulated and gas-insulated switchgear, crucial for protecting and controlling electrical equipment in data centers, utilities, and industrial power generation systems. The move is in response to the projected growth of the U.S. switchgear market and the demand from nearly 3,000 new data centers planned or under construction. Eaton Corporation anticipates hiring more than 200 additional engineering, manufacturing, and production roles, with hiring expected to commence later this year. This investment builds on Eaton Corporation's global manufacturing capacity investments totaling over $1.5 billion since 2023.
